COSORI TurboBlaze

The COSORI Pro LE Air Fryer offers excellent value for the price. It's a user friendly air fryer with a 6-quart capacity, perfect for smaller kitchens or single-person households. It comes with 9 pre-programmed settings for various cooking functions, whereas typically air fryers come with 6 pre set cook modes. It also features a non-stick basket and dishwasher-safe parts for easy cleaning.

Pros

  • Powerful 1690 output wattage for fast preheating and efficient cooking
  • Smaller size making it fit on countertops more easily
  • Least expensive option making it budget friendly

Cons

  • Some excessive cooking modes that might be confusing to navigate
  • No "shake" reminder, which I've found to help even cooking
  • Does not have a view window to see your food as it cooks

We here at Kitchen Lab did a stress test for 4 of the most popular air fryers on the market today. Coming in as the least expensive option, the Cosori TurboBlaze provides great value for those who are more budget conscious and looking for an easy air fryer with non stick interior. Read our in depth review below to find out if this is the best air fryer for you.

The COSORI TurboBlaze provides great value for those who are more budget-conscious and looking for an easy air fryer with a non-stick interior

Cooking Quality

As with all our other air fryer reviews, we batch cooked frozen french fries, green beans and chicken wings. We found the Cosori Blaze worked well, however since there is no "shake" reminder with the air fryer, we opted to not turn the food over mid way. While the results still came perfectly fine, we did notice the food was a little more dried out than cooking the same recipes with other models.

French Fries

As with the other models, we stuck to a 12 minute on 400° to keep things even. The fries definitely came out crispy, however we did notice they were a little more dry on the inside and some of the smaller fries did come out a  burnt. Again, not a dealbreaker since it had little impact on my overall experience, but we are an honest comparison site after all.

Green Beans

Our standard green beans recipe across models is salt, pepper and olive oil for 10 minutes at at 400°. By batch cooking the green beans in the COSORI TurboBlaze, we ensured there was no overlap to get the best results possible. What we found, is that by not taking the food out to toss, more steam built up so there was a little more of that "squeak" when eating these green beans vs. competitors.

Chicken Wings

Overall, the chicken wings came out ever so slightly more cooked than the competitors we tried. While the impact was minimal, we do want to keep it honest here. However, considering chicken wings are made with dark meat, it still turned out tender and juicy. This is however something to consider when dealing with something like chicken breast which is much more fragile when it comes to overcooking. We'd recommend shaving 5° off from any recipe you use.

Preheat Time

The COSORI had one of the faster preheat times given the 2nd highest, 1690 output wattage it possesses. To pre-heat the air fryer to 400°, we counted 2 minutes and 12 seconds. While this is a small amount of time compared to some of the longer models that take closer to 5 minutes, it's still a consideration if you need quick meals.

Size and weight

The COSORI TurboBlaze is the smallest model in terms of square inches, and comes in under 12 inches wide, making this ideal for those who need to save counter space. It was also the 2nd lightest air fryer we tested, at just around 13lb, making it easier to grab out of high cabinets or low difficult to get spaces.

Max Temperature

The maximum temperature for the COSORI TurboBlaze is pretty standard, getting up to 450°. We find that most recipes do not require a higher temperature than this, making the TurboBlaze flexible for all your cooking needs.

Price

As of writing this blog article, you can get the COSORI TurboBlaze for $119 on Amazon. This makes it the least expensive air fryer we tested, so it provides the best value given it's on par performance. One consideration is that the COSORI brand is not as notable as the other air fryers we tested. While this doesn't directly impact our reviews, we here at Kitchen Lab have more experience with other products from brands like Ninja, Instant and Cuisinart, so we can speak better to the longevity of those products.

Ease of use and aesthetics

The COSORI TurboBlaze has a lot of different features, so it can be a little intimidating to use at first. They have multiple fan speed levels, which isn't super obvious when operating for the first time. It also offers 9 different cooking functions, which stands out from the competition that typically has 6. However, 2 of these additional modes are "frozen" and "keep warm", which we personally did not find a lot of use for. It does also include a "proof" mode for those of you interested in baking your own bread. We found that it works effectively and was a unique feature to have.

As for aesthetics, the COSORI is not bad looking, but it does lack a window into the basket, so you cannot view your food while cooking it. Not a huge deal, but we do find it is a nice to have.

Cleaning

Like the other air fryers on this list, the COSORI TurboBlaze has a non stick coating with a removable tray that is dishwasher safe. The other models we tested do all feature the viewable window into the basket. While this is a feature we enjoy, water can sometimes get caught. As the COSORI TurboBlaze does not have this window, it makes the air fryer slightly easier to clean than the rest.

Conclusion: Who should get the COSORI TurboBlaze?

While the brand is not as reputable as the other products we reviewed, we the functions and features of the COSORI TurboBlaze compete with the other air fryers on our top reviews. We think it would great for college students or young professionals, who typically look for budget items that can quickly and efficiently cook without taking up too much space.
